Fully funded scholarships are available for Masters of Research and PhD degree programs. These Australian Research Scholarships are applicable for the academic session of 2023-2024.

This fully-funded Research Macquarie scholarship in Australia provides an opportunity for candidates to engage in various international research projects and contribute positively to their home countries.

Selected students will have the opportunity to work in international laboratories, collaborate with esteemed mentors, and pursue their research projects. Macquarie University's research departments are renowned for their high-quality research rankings, research strategies, and supervision teams.

Applicants for the International Research Training Program scholarship (iRTP) will also be considered for the International Macquarie Research Excellence Scholarship program (iMQRES). The iRTP is funded by the Australian Government, while the iMQRES is funded by Macquarie University.

Eligible Nationalities:

Applications are welcome from international students worldwide, with the exception of those from Australia and New Zealand.

Eligibility Criteria:

Eligibility criteria for candidates include:

• Completion of a research Master's degree or expected completion in 2024.
• Enrollment in a Doctorate or Masters of Philosophy program.
• Full-time availability for the program.
• Commencement of research training through the Macquarie University Scholarship while on approved leave for overseas research.

In addition, applicants should provide their published research work along with the application and demonstrate research experience, including conference presentations.

The scholarships will be awarded based on the Macquarie University HDR Scholarship Rating Criteria and MQ Research Training Program Scholarship Policy.
