Benefits
The scholarship amounts differ for undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs. Below is a breakdown of the amounts:
Undergraduate Programs
The exemption scholarship is granted based on the excellence of your academic record. The amount depends on your evaluation:
- Level A: $6,870.30 per session (full-time equivalent of 15 credits) or $13,740.60 per year.
- Level B: $3,274.20 per session or $6,548.40 per year.
Graduate Programs – Master’s
A partial exemption is available for both research and non-research master’s programs:
- Research Master’s: $5,050.00 per session or $15,150.00 per year.
- Non-Research Master’s: $3,596.25 per session or $10,788.75 per year.
Graduate Programs – PhD
PhD students receive a complete waiver of additional tuition fees normally charged to international students, resulting in the same fees as Quebec graduate students. The total exemption equals $7,636.20 per session or $22,908.60 per year.

Eligible Nationalities
This scholarship is open to international students of all nationalities.
- Admission Offer: You must have received an offer of admission to a study program at UdeM (starting from Fall 2020).
- Full-Time Enrollment: You must be continuously enrolled full-time in your program (unless otherwise approved).
- Valid Study Permits: Ensure that you have valid study authorizations (CAQ and study permit) for all sessions of your program.
- Eligible Programs: The exemption scholarship applies to degree programs such as Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD. It is not available for short programs, preparatory years, or independent studies.
- No Other Exemptions: You should not benefit from another form of tuition fee exemption.
