The application for the Canada-ASEAN SEED Scholarship 2025 must be submitted by a Canadian post-secondary institution on behalf of eligible students. The steps include:
Contact a Canadian Institution: Ensure the institution is a Designated Learning Institution (DLI) and has a valid exchange agreement.
Prepare Required Documents:
- Copy of passport or national ID
- Signed Privacy Notice Statement
- Letter of Intent explaining study plans in Canada
- Proof of full-time enrollment from the home institution
- Letter of support from the home institution
- Letter of invitation from a Canadian supervisor (for graduate students)
- Transcripts and academic records
- Signed exchange agreement (for undergraduate and college applicants)

Application Submission:
- Canadian institutions must submit applications before March 31, 2025, 11:59 p.m. EDT.
- Applicants should coordinate with their home institution’s international office.
Selection Criteria
Applications are evaluated based on:
- Relevance of proposed research/study to the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
- Commitment to using Canadian education to reduce poverty and development gaps in ASEAN
- Academic merit and potential impact
- Institutional and faculty support for the exchange
Important Dates
- Application Deadline: March 31, 2025
- Results Announcement: Spring 2025
- Scholarship Start Date: Fall 2025 (arrival between August 1 and October 1, 2025)
