Types of Scholarships Available
- Global Scholarship – £1,500 tuition fee waiver (automatic)
- Undergraduate Merit Scholarship – £7,500 tuition fee waiver
- Postgraduate Taught Merit Scholarship – £5,000 tuition fee waiver
- Sports Global Excellence Scholarship – Up to £7,500
- Progression Partner Scholarship – £5,000 tuition fee waiver

Global Scholarship
- £1,500 tuition fee waiver (deducted from the first year’s tuition fee)
- Automatically applied – no separate application required
Undergraduate Merit Scholarship
- Total value: £7,500
- Spread over 3 years of undergraduate study
- Recognizes strong academics, portfolio, or work experience
Postgraduate Taught Merit Scholarship
- £5,000 tuition fee waiver (deducted from the first year’s tuition fee)
- Based on academic merit, creative portfolio, or work experience
Sports Global Excellence Scholarship
- Undergraduate students: up to £7,500 (spread over 3 years)
- Postgraduate students: up to £5,000 (for the first year)
- Additional benefits for student-athletes:
- Free sports therapy
- Workshops (nutrition, anti-doping, sports psychology)
- Performance lifestyle support
- Free gym and SU sports club membership
- Free BUCS membership and event entries
- Kit and access to mentoring (for coaching/officiating scholars)
Progression Partner Scholarship
- £5,000 tuition fee waiver (split across study years depending on level of entry)
- Automatically applied to students from recognized overseas partner institutions

Eligible Nationalities
These scholarships are open to international students of all nationalities.
Eligibility Criteria
Global Scholarship
- Open to new self-funded international students.
- Must be studying full-time on campus (UG/PGT) or distance learning (PGR only).
- Minimum of 2 semesters of study.
- Applies to Undergraduate, Postgraduate Taught, Masters by Research, MRes, and PhD students.
- Automatically awarded at the time of offer.
Undergraduate Merit Scholarship
- Must be a new, self-funded international student.
- Full-time on-campus undergraduate program of at least 3 years.
- Requires strong academic grades, creative portfolio, or work experience.
- Not available to previous scholarship recipients or deferred applicants.
Postgraduate Taught Merit Scholarship
- Available to new, full-time international PGT students.
- Minimum study of 2 semesters on campus.
- Must demonstrate academic excellence or strong portfolio/work experience.
- Not applicable to PhD or research-based master's programs.
Sports Global Excellence Scholarship
- For elite athletes joining UG or PGT programs.
- Must participate in high-performance sports (e.g., women’s soccer, men’s basketball, volleyball).
- Must be international, self-funded, and studying on campus full-time.
Progression Partner Scholarship
- For students transferring from partner institutions in Canada, Hong Kong, Malaysia, UAE, and Vietnam.
- Must follow an agreed progression pathway.
- Open to self-funded international undergraduates studying on campus.
