Eligible Nationalities
This scholarship is open to applicants from developing countries.
Eligibility Criteria
The scholarship is open to young professionals from developing countries (DAC-listed) who meet all of the following criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree completed within the last 6 years (before October 2025)
- At least 2 years of relevant professional experience post-graduation (volunteering/internships not accepted)
- A strong academic record (top third of class)
- Must have not resided in Germany for more than 15 months prior to the application
- Must demonstrate genuine need for a second Master’s (if already holding one)
- Must meet MEG programme admission criteria and DAAD requirements
Note: Academic research or teaching roles are not generally considered valid work experience for this scholarship, except in exceptional cases.
