Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the scholarship, you must:

1. Be a new international student joining an eligible master’s or MRes programme in September 2025 or January 2026
2. Be paying your tuition fee at the international rate
3. Be studying full-time, on-campus in Liverpool
4. Have accepted your offer and paid the tuition fee deposit by the deadline outlined in your offer letter

Who Is Not Eligible?

You will not be eligible for this scholarship if you:

• Have previously studied at:
  • University of Liverpool International College
  • Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU)
  • University of Liverpool (as an undergraduate or on a Study Abroad/Exchange programme)
• Are enrolling in:
  • Online or distance-learning programmes
  • PGCert, MPhil, MArch, PhD, Professional Doctorates (including DDSc), or unlisted master's courses
• Already hold a master’s degree
• Have your tuition fees paid by a government, commercial organisation, or employer
• Are eligible for either the Postgraduate Global Advancement Scholarship - Course or the Achievement variant (these scholarships cannot be combined)

For part-time students, the scholarship is awarded pro-rata, divided over the length of the course. For example, students on a two-year programme will receive £1,250 per academic year.
