The Laura Bassi Scholarship is a unique opportunity for postgraduate students (Master's and PhD) and early-career academics (within 5 years of full-time work) to get editorial assistance for their research on underexplored topics within their disciplines. Established in 2018 by the Editing Press, the scholarship honours Laura Bassi, a pioneering 18th-century scientist and the first woman to hold a professorship in Europe.
This scholarship program is open to researchers in all academic disciplines (e.g., literature, history, science, engineering), and awards are given out three times a year. With the scholarship funds going entirely towards editorial support, awardees can receive assistance tailored to their needs, ranging from master's thesis editing to doctoral dissertation editing and academic article editing.

Benefits of the Laura Bassi Scholarship:
The scholarship is open to all academic disciplines and is awarded three times a year: December, April, and August. The award itself comes entirely in the form of editorial support, with varying amounts based on your needs:

- PhD students: Up to $2,500
